LMNH! Summer Fête

Join us for the first ever Look Mum No Hands! Summer Fête.

Come down and enjoy crafty stalls, a cycle wildlife trail, homemade afternoon tea and good old-fashioned fun and games including bash the rat, guess the weight of the cake, find the key! You can also feel happy in the knowledge that you will be helping to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

There are great prizes up for grabs too, donated by the very lovely
Tatty Devine, Suck & Chew, Charles Lamb pub, Maiden, Urban Outfitters, Bobbin Bicycles

Plus YOU can take part NOW in the

Great British Bunt-Off

Another first, this competition is for everyone who loves bunting.
You fabricate a 4m length of your best ever ‘Summer Fête’ bunting and deliver it by 10am on the 31 July (or post it in advance) to Look Mum No Hands!

The Great British public, and all of our lovely visitors to the event, will then vote for their favourite. There will be a bundle of super prizes to be won.

FAQs
I have never made bunting before, can I still enter?
Yes! Just give it a try. It’s not complicated, you don’t need to be able to sew – we have some seen some fine bunting made from paper, string and a stapler. There are also a whole host of sites and blogs out there to get you started. You can also enter as a group so get a bunch of friends/ colleagues/ family together and you’ll have it done in no time.

Is there a theme?
No. The winning bunting will be up to the voters, so you can try to charm them any way you like.

What will happen to my bunting after?
Well we would very much like to see the bunting travel onto other venues. It is in fact Ruby Shoes’ (the organiser of this rather fabulous competition) mission to ‘bunt the world into a better place’ – so watch this space!
If you would prefer to take your bunting home after then that’s fine too. Just let us know when you deliver it.

If you need to know anything else just post a comment.

We very much look forward to seeing your bunting and you on Sunday 31 July.

Happy Bunting!

    Just wanted to say:
Group entries are more than welcome – a real fun thing to do together, no hassle if everyone just makes/cuts/prints one flag. And we’re open to all crafts & techniques too! No excuses that you can’t sew!!!!! This is about ‘creative’ bunting…paper & staples, string & crochet, fabric & ribbon….How can you make your bunting creative, beautiful & totally unique???
